Stay away from Hersha Howard's Thin Mints!

The Collier County woman was arrested Sunday after a savage beatdown of her roommate over a box of the delicious Girl Scout cookies that were apparently off limits to her kids, according to naplesnews.com.
The brawl began when the 31-year-old cookie monster confronted her sleeping roommate and accused her of eating the box of treats, police said. The roommate told Howard she'd given the cookies to Howard's kids, who were awake and hungry around 1 a.m.
The roommate offered to pay $10 for the cookies, but Howard wasn't having it, and began fighting with the other woman, police said. The roommate's husband pulled Howard off her so she could escape, but Howard took off after her.
According to a police report, Howard grabbed a pair of scissors and threatened the woman. When the woman started to run down some stairs, Howard allegedly dropped the scissors, picked up a board and hit the woman as she ran down the stairs.
Howard caught up to the woman again and knocked her to the ground and started to hit her. When the roommate managed to get outside the house, Howard grabbed a sign and started hitting her again, police said.
Police finally arrived and arrested Howard, charging her with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
No word on what dessert was served in jail.

Apparently there is a new Facebook app that will alert you when someone's relationship status changes. So if you were wondering about that ex of yours, or wanted to get with a certain special someone, now you can keep extra special tabs on them!

Breakup Notifier is a Facebook app that'll send you a notification whenever somebody you're interested in (read: creepily stalking) changes their relationship status. Because if there's one thing a girl appreciates, it's a guy who's created a 'want to bang' list on Facebook and sits around waiting for the girls to break up. Seriously, that shit makes chicks hotter than getting flowers. Unfortunately, the program can't distinguish between breaking up and getting together, so you can also expect an email when the girl of your dreams lady of your sad fantasies changes her relationship status to 'engaged'. You know, so you can leave a really passive-aggressive post on her wall. *

Friday, fun day

As I eagerly await opening day of FSU baseball in a mere 7 hours, I decided to bring more enjoyable videos to the public. Like most people here in Florida we are ALL ready for Spring to officially be here and swimming/bathing suit/beach days to be back. Have I mentioned how pasty pale I am? It's scary and you may be blinded by my glaringly white skin as of late.

Apparently Florida is not the only state eagerly awaiting the Spring, and a one "Professor Splash" from up north decided it was time to go diving......from three stories up....into a kiddie pool with 12 INCHES of water in it.

Cuteness overload

Last Saturday I was invited to attend my boyfriend's nephew's first birthday. As a gift I offered to bring my fancy camera, Fernando (it's name, deal with it, lol) and all his fancy attachments and be the photographer for the day so no one (specifically the mother) had to worry about photos not being taken. This was actually a really good excuse to use my beloved Fernando, but I also knew how much they would appreciate the opportunity to be more "in" the party then taking the pics themselves.

I'm going to go ahead and warn you. You may be overloaded with cuteness. This kid, Elijah(Eli) is so cute it makes your ovaries kick on at just the sight of him. Remember, you've been warned.

Oh and a puppy may or may not have been photographed with said adorable baby. Again, you've been warned!

Video: DeSean Jackson's emotional, surprise visit with bully victim

The 13-year-old boy who was bullied and beat up by a "wolf pack" of teenagers in Pennsylvania last month received a surprise visit from his favorite football player on live television.

Nadin Khoury was walking home from school on Jan. 11 when he was randomly accosted by seven teens who attacked him for 30 minutes. The incident was filmed by one of the assailants, which helped propel the sickening incident into the national spotlight.

On Thursday, a resilient Khoury appeared with his family on "The View" to discuss the incident and bullying in general. Near the end of the segment, he was surprised by Philadelphia Eagles players DeSean Jackson(notes), Todd Herremans and Jamaal Jackson(notes).

Jackson, the Eagles star receiver, is Khoury's favorite player. After coming out on set and hugging the middle school student, Jackson gave Khoury the jersey off his back (literally) and let him know that if he ever needed help, he and his two lineman had his back. Herremans later mentioned that the Eagles would give the family tickets to any Eagles game next season.

If you don't have a tear in your eye or goosebumps on your arm after that one, I don't know what to say.

Spell Check?

I just had to post this little video. One fo the local news stations, WCTV, did a piece on the terrbile and comical spelling errors in signs around our town. Well, wouldn't you know they went and filmed and interviewed at my man's place of business. Sadly his good looking mug didnt make it on camera (he claims he hid because his hair looked bad, lol.). But his co-worker/buddy Steve got interviewed and you see his Brother, Kevin, working on a table.

Most ironic thing about this news piece? They spelled Steve's last name wrong in the article. Wah Wah Wah. So much fail.
